JLQ Launched the 4G Smartphone ICs platform JR510

JLQ announced the launch of the 4G smartphone ICs platform JR510. This ICs platform is mainly for the field of mobile communication, and it is the second heavyweight ICs platform launched by JLQ after its establishment. Based on the octa-core architecture, the JR510 has balanced performance and power consumption, and has powerful image and AI processing performance, which can meet the diverse application needs of the mobile era and empower mobile intelligent terminal products to benefit more users and scenarios. At present, JLQ JR510 has entered the stage of mass production.

Smooth Performance, Power Balanced
The 4G smartphone SoC JR510 launched by JLQ this time adopts Samsung’s advanced 11-nanometer FinFET process, and the high process technology makes the JR510 perform better in power consumption and smoother performance. At the same time, compared with the competitors, JR510 uses an octa-core ARM Cortex A55 CPU and an ARM Mali G52 GPU, which can better balance the main frequency, energy efficiency and performance between the CPU and GPU, so that the smartphone can be used in daily use with ease and have a longer battery life experience.


Upgraded AI Processor, Excellent Multimedia Performance
For the first time, JR510 innovatively introduces a standalone hardware AI acceleration (NPU) processor and a vision processor (vDSP) in the entry-level and mid-range smart chip architecture, where the HW AI engine provides 1.2Tops computing power, and the Video DSP can efficiently and targeted image algorithm processing.


Thanks to ARM Cortex A55 artificial intelligence technology and the self-developed algorithm of JLQ, the AI Processor of JR510 has excellent performance, which can not only realize real-time AI intelligent scene detection and recognition, but also enhance the intelligent camera performance of different scenes; Support ai high dynamic range (AI HDR) in mobile phone shooting, so that the image can be truly restored in different environments and sports states; At the same time, it supports differentiated functions such as AI dual microphone noise reduction (AI voice), and its AI, vision, image, audio algorithm and other performance are far ahead of the same positioning competitors.


The JR510 also supports excellent camera capabilities, with a leading-edge performance (ISP) architecture that supports up to 16 million + 16 million dual cameras, and 25 million/50 million single camera shooting, and can be differentiated to support front dual and rear quad shooting. vDSP graphics processing can support face recognition, intelligent beauty, picture noise reduction and other rich functions in shooting, making daily shooting easy and interesting.


In addition, the JR510 supports video 1080P+ (21:9) screens, with a frame rate of up to 60 frames per second. At the same time, JR510 supports 1080P VP9/H.265/H.264 decoding and H.265/H.264 encoding, which fully meets the needs of mobile terminals for video and mobile Internet mainstream applications.


High-Speed Connectivity, Rich Peripheral Interfaces
According to the IDC report, by the end of 2021, the proportion of 4G smartphones in the world still exceeded 5G, and it is foreseeable that 4G will still coexist with 5G for a long time to provide a relatively seamless user experience.


The JLQ JR510 adopts Global Pass 4G LTE Modem and Wireless Connectivity (WCN) technology to provide stable and high-speed connectivity capabilities, which can quickly promote the certification and project landing of overseas operators for end customers, and fully meet the needs of overseas markets.


At the same time, in order to meet the upgrade needs of peripheral storage products, JR510 supports the latest LPDDR4x memory, eMMC 5.1 and UFS 2.1 storage solutions, and supports USB 2.0, SDIO 3.0, I2S, I2C, UART and other peripheral interfaces to help customers achieve differentiated mobile phone performance customization.
